Eggsciting Funky Hand News!

So I mentioned in my last post that I've been having a play with the brand new Funky Hand CD.  I have to say I've been overwhelmed at how BRILLIANT this CD really is....I could go on & on about it but instead I'll point you in the direction of the demo here & offer you a little sneak peek...

Anice will be officially launching Craft The Year Away on Create and Craft TV at 10am on Sunday & it'll be available from the Funky Hand website 1pm the same day.

Lots going on....

'behind the scenes' here as I've got my hands on the latest, not launched yet Funky Hand CD!  I have to tell you it is FABULOUS!!!  Can't say any more than that for now or show any pics...I've been sworn to secrecy! ;)  However I can point you in the direction of the new 'Our Betty' stamp sets which are available now. Make sure you go & take a look...and buy! ;)
And just because a post doesn't feel right without a pic here's another tag I made similar to the one found here.

Hambley Studios Rub-on; DCWV paper; K& Co ribbon; Paperchase heart sticker; Queen & Co brad.

Thinking of You

I made this card following the style & sketch of this wonderfully talented lady!

The sketch was in Issue 70 of Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine.

Daisy Bucket Rub-on; Queen & co sequins & brads; Paperchase heart sticker; Circle of Friends Overlay & card die-cuts.

So versatile!

I made this dress card (it's quite big at about 8"x8") out of the Polka Doodles twittie-twoo template!  Just goes to show how versatile these templates are!

Another Polka Doodles card today...one of my favourites! Everything you see is from the Sundae of Seasons CD & I've only added some Glossy Accents & bling.

Going Buggy!

As I mentioned earlier Enfy's is having a party over at Going Buggy & today she's asking us to play along by making a card featuring a bug on it! So I struggled to think of something in my craft stash with a bug on and I had to stretch the definition a bit. I'm hoping this ace little stamp by Claire for Polka Doodles will count! ;)
It's stamped in Rich Cocoa Memento Ink & coloured (super quickly!) with Promarkers.

Going Buggy Party!

Enfy's is having a party over at Going Buggy all week!  Sounds like there's loads of fun to be had & prizes to be won so make sure you head on over to join in!

And today's card...

Polka Doodles Birdcage stamp, flower stamp & papers.

Polka Doodles round-up project #2

I made this A4 wall hanging using the Creative Christmas CD.  I used the black & white templates to print on various coloured & patterned papers.

The garlands are made from tiny images cut from patterned papers...

I glittered the decoration on top of the fireplace...

And the fireplace itself is popped up on various levels of 3d foam...

I'll be back with some more Polka Doodles projects tomorrow.

Polka Doodles round-up

So for various personal reasons my time on the Polka Doodles Design Team has come to an end.  I have LOVED every minute of working with such wonderful products & being part of such an AMAZING team!  I have also loved visiting so many wonderful blogs when checking out the challenge entries....there's certainly A LOT of talented peeps out there! I thought I'd take the time to share with you some projects I have made over the months which I have not previously blogged about. I shall be sharing these in various posts over the next week or so.

This is one of my favourite Polka Doodles images & with the help of some velco sticky pads I made a little 'swap the features' game out of this card!

I shall be back later with the WINNER of my GIVEAWAY and some exciting news!!!

Birthdays & Celebrations!

I've found a new challenge site (new to me....it's 2 years old!).  I thought this card made using the Polka Doodles Birthday Bash Template fit the current Charisma Cardz challenge very well! Their challenge is all about Birthday's & Celebrations.

I've also decorated the front of the card...

And the pop out element...

folds neatly for putting in an envelope...

Happy 2nd Birthday Charisma Cardz!!!

Wishes for the New Year.

It's time for the first Polka Doodles challenge of the new year!  This week it's all about making wishes for the year ahead. I've opted to send a handful of 'wishes' to my card's recipient! The stars on this 8"x8" card came from the wonderful Sundae of Seasons CD & some are randomly popped up on 3d foam for dimension.  The sentiment is one of many great ones on the Back to Nature CD.  I've doodled the border with Promarker Fine Liner pen.

A super quick butterfly card.

Made with a freebie stamp from a magazine, some green ink & glitter...

More exciting news....!!!

I found out a few days ago that I got a Runner-Up place in Papercraft Essentials Papercrafter of the Year 2010!!!  I just bought the magazine as usual, was flicking through the pages & there were my projects on the page!!! A really exciting surprise!  I got a runner-up place in last years competition so I never thought I'd get anywhere this year but entered just for fun.  I like challenging myself to come up with my 'best work'.  Anyway...that means more prizes to come in the post soon....woohoo!  And I may well share the love too & have ANOTHER GIVEAWAY on here so keep checking back. ;)

Allsorts of Polka Doodles.

For the whole of January Polka Doodles will be guest designing over at the Allsorts Challenge Blog.  I was asked to design for this week's 'Thank You' challenge.  I decided to show how you can use your Christmas CD's for non-Christmassy projects.  This card uses elements from the Jingle Jangles CD.  The flowers are coloured with Promarkers & popped up on foam for dimension.  I've handwritten the sentiment (a wobbley first for me!) & I've added some Doodle Dewdrop embellies. Oh & this is another big card...8"x8"...still enjoying making it large!  I do hope you have a chance to pop over to Allsorts & play along & I'll be doing my best to pop by & see what you create!
