Funky Hand Birthday Fun Challenge!

So as promised I'm back with my make for the Get Funky challenge for this month.  I'm the host for the very first time and in honour of the brand new CD Happy Happy Birthday I've gone for...

Birthday Fun!!!

And for another first I've made a wordbook!

I thoroughly enjoyed making this & it was far easier than I had expected!  It is also very effective & has been much admired already!  I shall definitely be making a lot more of these!  I've used the Pressie Time collection from the Happy Happy Birthday CD...

- which you can see details of here and also today on Create and Craft TV at 9am & 4pm.

I just printed off each page in turn, then flipped them over & printed a coordinating patterned paper from the collection on the reverse - which as a bonus leaves you with some excellent extra scraps left over after you've cut out your pages! The pages are fixed together with twine & I've added lots of cut out stars to each page - which of course had to have a load of glitter added to make them extra sparkly! ;)

I do hope you can join in with this month's challenge! All the details on how to enter can be found here

Here's my card for this week...

Jellypark Image; My Mind's Eye 'Quite Contrary' papers; Bo Bunny 'Spring Jewels' Bodacious Brad: Promarkers; Craftwork cards scalloped card.

Using the current sketch...

Which I flipped around & that I'm also proud to say lots of you seem to be enjoying using - as I designed it! :)

My card uses the cute Happy Birthday Tag image from Jellypark - our sponsors for this challenge.  They are offering our winner £5 to spend in their shop!!! PLUS Ruth & I have added in some extra Letraset goodies for one other winner drawn at random!!!  Make sure you head on over to Fetch A Sketch to check out the details!  We've also been joined this month by our Guest Designer Fliss & some of the Jellypark Design Team - and what a talented lot they are!  Again, check out the main blog to see what they've created for us. :)

Wish you were here?

I can guarantee you'd be saying 'no' to that question if you could see the view from my window right now - absolutely pouring down!

Just thought I'd 'pop in' and share this seaside themed card with you today as it's my turn to share over at Get Funky!  Paula set us the 'At The Seaside' challenge this month & it's been fun to do something a little different!  My card uses the freebie paper & the little spades are from the Craft The Year Away CD.  The Alphabits, which I've spoken about a lot before, are from the Tea's Up! Download.

AND, some exciting news to share...Funky Hand have just launched a brand spanking new CD!!! It's called 'Happy Happy Birthday' & I have to say it's just BRILLIANT!  Get yourself over here and take a look for yourself! I shall be back very soon with some makes using the new CD as well details of the brand new Get Funky! challenge, which I am hosting, on the Funky Fifteenth!

Fetch A Sketch Week 6!

Once again it's my turn to host the challenge over at Fetch A Sketch and here's the sketch that I've come up with...

This fortnight we have a fabulous sponsor....Jellypark!

Jellypark are offering a £5 Gift Certificate to our winner! AND, Ruth and I have come up with some extra freebies for another winner drawn at random...make sure you head on over to the Fetch A Sketch blog to see what the extra prizes are...I'll give you a massive clue...Letraset!!! :)

As usual Ruth & I have had a play with the sketch & we've been joined this time by our very talented Guest Designer for this month, Fliss!  AND we've also had the pleasure of being joined by some of the Jellypark design team! So make sure you head on over to the Fetch A Sketch blog to see what they've made!

I've made a little picture this time, using an 8x8 inch canvas...

The little trees are Jellypark paper pieced onto pink & green 'Teeny Tiny Dots' paper by Crystal at Jessica Sprague, the blue spotty paper is also by Crystal & is called 'Funky Polkadots'.  I've added some buttons & twill, a Scrapworks 'Hugz' embellishment and some Bo Bunny brads. I've coloured in some detail to the trees with a red Promarker.

I do hope you can come along and join in with us this time & that you enjoy my sketch!
