Funky Canvas Art

Apologies for being a little late sharing my Get Funky! Challenge creation this month! Kathy has set us up with a wonderful recipe...

 

3 different papers

5 flowers

2 buttons

1 length of ribbon (you can chop this up to taste)

A sprinkling of pearls or gems to season. 

At least one Funky Hand product must be included!

I took a 13x18cm canvas board, coloured one of the short edges with Gold Ochre Aquamarker & spritzed it with water allowing the ink to drip down the canvas.  After drying it with a heat tool, I then flipped it the other way up so the darker inked bit was at the bottom.  I stamped some flower images (by the Artistic Stamper) onto Funky Hand papers (the freebie paper & papers from the I Do Wedding Wordbook download) in brown ink, cut them out & embellished them with punched circles, Colorbok metal dots and Funky Hand buttons.  I added the Funky Hand ribbon & then curled the petals of the flowers before adding them to the canvas with 3d foam.

Patchwork Birdie.

Bird template by paper-and-string; Basic Grey papers; Pink Paislee Artisan Tape; Heidi Grace Icon sticker.

I made this little birdie using a wonderful template from paper-and-string which you can find here.  It's designed for making a decoration out of felt but I thought it would work well on paper.  What do you think?  I certainly think I'll be using this one again & again!

Flower Power

Some more mini cards for my Kraft envelopes today (see yesterday's post).

Can't claim the above idea as my own...it came directly from Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine! As did the heart shaped toppers used to make it. I've used their freebie papers by Nitwit to make the following cards to complete a little set...

I haven't accidently added too many pics here...if you look closely you'll see there are variations in the flower patterns & the gemstone's positions! ;)

English Rose

I purchased these from my local stationers the other day...

I think they are 'wage envelopes'.  I thought they'd work well with Kraft card so I've been busy making some mini cards to fit them like the one above.  Here's some more...

All very quick & simple & made using some freebie papers & images from a couple of magazines!

An Apple A Day...

Another little card today...a variation on the Easter Egg Card from a few days ago (find it here).

Made using the apple digi stamp from Funky Hand's Colour Me Happy CD.  I printed it onto the back of various patterned papers from the Dreams Come True CD, cut out different sections from each of the papers & paper pieced it together.  Added a bit of Glossy Accents for shine.
