Madness in Mint!

We're doing another Forgotten Funky showcase over at Get Funky this month. We like to use some of the old downloads from many moons ago and show how they are still just as funky in 2014!

This month it's the turn of the Minty Madness paper collection and I have made a trio of lucky clover cards...

I used the clover from Craft The Year Away...

Printed directly onto the papers...

The star toppers are from the download too as is the sentiment on this card...

The other sentiments are the Alpha-bits from Tea's Up.

Just a bit of doodling and they were done!

Make sure you pop over to Get Funky to see what the other girls have made!

Blanket of many colours.

My 'blanket of many colours' is nearly finished...

Just a few more rows and the finishing off to do. And, even better, I have a buyer! It's going to the home of a lovely young breast cancer survivor...which is just as well as I'm going to find it hard to part with this one! ;)

Thinking of You.

While I was busy being sick the lovely Anice over at Funky Hand designed a paper collection in honour of me! Yes...little ole me!!!!! How fab is that! It's called 'Just for Jen' and it's in the Breast Cancer Awareness colours...

Just For Jen downloadable backing papers.

It's still for sale over on the website and £1.00 from each sale goes to Cancer Research.

I made a couple of 'thinking of you' cards with it...

I'm not a huge fan of the whole breast cancer & pink & fluffy thing BUT I am a fan of this paper collection! :)

I used some Maya Road chipboard and added some ink to sparkle up the flowers...

I have a breast cancer friend who always says 'never lose your sparkle girl'.  I think that can apply to a card too, don't you? ;)

Cheers!

Just popping in to share a quick and simple card using the Paper Blossom digital kit that we're showcasing over at Get Funky. I've used the wine glass from the 'All a Girl Needs' stamp set. I stamped it on to some teeny tiny versions of the papers which I resized in photoshop before printing.

Such a lovely paper collection.

Monster Mash!

I love it when I can use a song title in my blog title!

It's new release time over at Funky Hand again - Anice is really churning out some great things right now - and it's all about monsters this time. Meet Monster Rabbit...

Monster Dog...

And Monster Cat...

All paper pieced with the new Hairy and Scary papers.

And just to prove that you can always use the Funky Hand papers in many different ways here's a card that has nothing to do with monsters...

I haven't quite got back in to the swing of blogging but I have been doing lots of crafting... crochet, jewellery and cards and I hope to share some pics with you soon.

Have a great weekend! x

A Funky Bauble!

So now that the fireworks are over I feel happy to say the C-Word.....CHRISTMAS!!!

I have made this little bauble using some dotty paper from an old (but still fabulous!) paper collection from Funky Hand.  It's quite nice doing some non-traditional colours, don't you think?

This is just a polystyrene ball with the circles of paper attached with a sequin and a pin. Simple!

The paper download collection is called Funky Little Christmas and you can get it here. Plus you'll find a load more ideas on how to use it here!

Pretty sure this bauble isn't going to last out the season here though....not with two pesky kittens around! ;)

Spooky Dookie!!!

I'm delighted that my first crafty make to share since being back to blogging is for Funky Hand. I've so missed making with their fab downloads! I've timed things well to use the Spooky Dookie Download and have done some upcycling of an old container too. Here's my little treat gift box...

Which I filled with homemade chocolate cupcake treats...

And...ok...I ate a few too!

You can find out all of the details on how I made this on the Get Funky and Craft Blog.

Back to Blogging!

So....it's been a while since I have been here. In my absence I have been doing some crafting, mostly crochet, but I have also been doing surgeries, radiotherapy & chemotherapy. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2012 and am now NED (no evidence of disease). I'm hoping to get back in to blogging some crafty stuff really soon, but in the mean time here is a picture of our quite-new additions...

Cute huh!

 I hope you like it!

Fetch A Sketch Time!

This fortnight we've been using Ruth's brilliant sketch as inspiration over at Fetch A Sketch...

We have two fab sponsors for this challenge, Funky Hand & Jellypark, both of which you can see in my card...

I coloured the 'bath girl' Jellypark digi image with Promarkers and layered it onto some heart paper from the 'Love Love Love' Funky Hand download.  I then added a sentiment using Funky Hand Alpha-bits from the 'Tea's Up!' download.  To complete the elements of the sketch I punched out a row of tiny hearts through the whole front layer of the card & interspersed them with some heart stickers from Paperchase.

Take it easy!
See you over at Fetch A Sketch!

Funky Polkadots & Flowers!

It's time for me to share my Get Funky make with you - this month is all about polkadots & flowers...

I've used elements from the brand new CD which is to be released tomorrow (Thursday 31st May) over at Funky Hand - the spotty paper, the blue patterned paper & the templates for the flowers are all on the Wishes & Kisses CD.  All I needed then was some bling!

I'm really loving the new CD and this month's challenge has been fun too. Fancy entering? Get yourself over to Get Funky for all the details!
