Vintage Style with Polka Doodles.

It's vintage style this week over at Polka Doodles...

I've used the vintage rose paper from the Love & Cherish CD again this week, mounted onto Kraft Card.  The glitter circle is a tag that came off one of last year's Xmas pressies & the sentiment comes from the Back to Nature CD.  The butterflies were made using a stamp from the 'Babsie' Fairy Flutterfly stamp set, inked onto the back of some gold card & cut out.  I folded their wings forward & glued them onto the card with a hot glue gun (my new must have tool!).

Polka Doodles Challenge 32

This week Stacey has set us the challenge to print onto vellum or acetate.  Here's what I've made....

This box frame was surprisingly simple to make (if you minus the failed attempts at printing onto ordinary acetate, the calls to a friend who advised me I needed special acetate for printing on & the trip to the stationers).

The rose paper & the heart image come from the Love & Cherish CD.  The rose paper sits towards the back of the box frame whereas the acetate sits towards the front.  I did this by making the acetate into a box lid shape which sits inside the frame.

Polka Doodles Sketch Challenge.

Here's my card for this week's challenge...

following this wonderful sketch by Kerry ...
I've used the lovely birdcage Stamp Doodle on my card this week.  The image is coloured with watercolour paints. We're all going watercolour crazy over at Polka Doodles as we have our massive colouring competition running until the end of the month.  Pop on over here for all the details! I've even added some yellow paint to the patterned paper from the All Around and Everywhere CD that I've set in the circle frames just to tie all the colours in perfectly.  Must say a huge thanks to my US blogging buddy JennRo for the tags! Thanks lovely! The card is finished off with a sentiment from the 'Babsie' Fairy Flutterfly stamp set.
