Summer Lovin'

The challenge over at Pink Petticoat this month has been to make a summer inspired card. Here's what I made:-

Pink Petticoat "Multi Hearts Pretty Pink" paper from the "Just An Old Fashioned Girl" CD; Heidi Swapp "Beachin'" Foam Stamp; Doodlebug Simply Sweet Mini Rub-ons; Dovecraft Brad.

Flower power!

Here's my first attempt at a felt brooch! I've been looking for a use for this lovely big button for ages!

I was inspired to make it by the wonderful Lupin and her lovely felty makes! She sells some lovely soft felt too...make sure you check out her shops (links on her blog).

One of my favourite things to make at the moment is this little notelet box...

I follow the basic template from here , adjusting the measurements to suit whatever size cards I want to make.

All the images are stamped in Tim Holtz Distress Ink "faded jeans" and are finished off with some silver pen doodling and a bit of bling!

I'm loving the scalloped 12cm x 12cm cards from Craftwork Cards... and I challenged myself to leave some white space!!!

Birthday Girl

This is my first attempt at using someone elses sketch design to make a card. I used a sketch by Laura (sketch 18, Jan 2009) from the 2sketches4you challenge blog.

Sweet Wishes for Pink Petticoat.

Here's my entry for Liz's challenge over on Pink Petticoat. The challenge was to make one of these little gift pouches (instructions over on Liz's blog). I used paper from the "Just An Old Fashioned Girl" CD and one of her delicious Sweet Sundae images. Coloured with glitter gel pens and embellished with felt. Oh, and the lovely little flower pin was from the website of the very talented Laura over at the Bugs and Fishes blog.

1st post...finally!

I decided to start this blog as a New Year Resolution... it's now February! That's the way life goes for me, so don't expect daily updates! I'll be posting some of my crafty makes, mostly cards & jewellery. So to start with a few cards...
